GOALS

  • To address the need to help expectant BIPOC mothers with access to quality affordable dental care

  • To educate mothers on the oral systemic health connection & raise awareness on the systemic health risks associated with dental disease for mothers and their children

  • To educate mothers on infant oral restrictions and its effects on BIPOC mother breastfeeding outcomes

  • To explore BIPOC mother breastfeeding & birth outcomes and its effects on bonding, development and health of the BIPOC community

  • To eliminate challenges & barriers experienced by BIPOC working mothers as they transition from postpartum care on maternity leave to returning to the workplace

  • To provide nutritional and lactational counseling support in an aim to improvement of BIPOC mother breastfeeding and birth outcomes

OBJECTIVE:

  • Decrease the Black Mother & Infant Mortality Rate 

PURPOSE:

  • Nurture & Nourish our mothers and children

    • Reduce incidences of cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer's disease and dementia, obesity, diabetes and metabolic disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, and several cancers

  • Strengthen bonding experiences of BIPOC mothers & children

  • Improve cognitive function, wellness and overall health of BIPOC families

  • Eliminate postpartum recovery time stigma & judgment within the BIPOC community

  • Raise maternal mental health awareness through advocacy and community to enhance quality of life outcomes
